Microsoft is increasing the maximum license cap for Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) promotions to support high-volume deals and reduce friction in large transactions.
Increased License Caps for CSP Promotions
Effective February 5, 2026, Microsoft is increasing the maximum license cap for eligible CSP promotions from 2,400 to 9,999 licenses. This expansion applies to:
- All Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 promotions
- Microsoft 365 Copilot promotions
Note: Copilot Business promotions remain capped at 300 licenses and are not included in this update.
Impact for Partners
This update simplifies large transactions and aligns guidance across Core, Security, and Copilot offerings. Partners can now accelerate upsell momentum and handle high-volume deals more efficiently. Combined with other available offers—including 10% off Microsoft 365 E3 and Security suites for three-year subscriptions, and 15% off E5 annual terms for new-to-offer customers—this creates multiple pathways for partners to drive revenue growth.
