Juniper Networks Issues Critical Patches to Resolve Security Vulnerabilities

This vulnerability affects Juniper's Junos OS, a network operating system powering its broad portfolio of routing, switching, and security devices.

The second high-severity vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2021-0255, could allow an attacker to cause a DoS condition, leading to a system crash. This vulnerability also affects Juniper's Junos OS.

The other vulnerabilities, although not as severe, could still pose security risks if exploited. For example, CVE-2021-0256, a medium-severity flaw, could allow an authenticated local attacker to elevate their privileges, potentially gaining administrative control over a targeted system.

Juniper Networks has released patches for all these vulnerabilities and strongly recommends its customers to update their systems as soon as possible. The company has provided detailed instructions for the patching process in its security advisories.
