Microsoft has announced the general availability of Transactable Professional Services, a new feature designed to provide partners with additional ways to service customers. This feature is currently available to partners in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, allowing them to sell professional services through private offers in the marketplace.
The new feature was launched on October 3, 2024, and is available in the Marketplace offers workspace. All partners transacting in the marketplace are the impacted audience for this new feature.
With this new capability, partners in eligible geographies can now sell their professional services as a standalone private offer or attach their professional services to a private offer alongside their software. The professional services that can be sold include assessments, briefings, customer support, implementation, migration, proof of concepts, and workshops.
Microsoft has also provided resources to help partners get started with selling professional services. A demo video titled "Unlock growth by selling professional services through the marketplace" is available for partners to understand the process better. Additionally, a Professional Services FAQ section has been created to answer common questions and provide further guidance on how to sell professional services.
This move by Microsoft is seen as a significant step towards empowering partners to provide more comprehensive solutions to their customers. By allowing partners to sell professional services, Microsoft is not only expanding the marketplace but also creating new opportunities for partners to grow their businesses.
In conclusion, the general availability of Transactable Professional Services is a testament to Microsoft's commitment to continually enhance the marketplace experience for its partners. It provides partners with more ways to service customers, thereby fostering stronger relationships and driving business growth.
