Microsoft Announces Price Adjustments for Cloud Services and On-Premises Software in Brazil and UK

Microsoft has announced upcoming price adjustments for its commercial cloud services for partners transacting in the Brazilian Real or the British Pound. The changes are set to take effect from February 1, 2025. The move is aimed at aligning the prices more closely with global levels in the Brazilian Real (BRL) and British Pound (GBP) currencies.

In addition to the cloud services, Microsoft will also be adjusting the pricing for its on-premises software in Brazil. This adjustment is intended to correct for local currency fluctuations and business conditions.

Microsoft follows a semiannual process for aligning prices globally to US dollar (USD) levels. This process is designed to ensure that customers across different geographies and currencies experience consistent pricing. The pricing reflects the exchange rate of their local currency to USD.

The price adjustments for the cloud services will be 12% for the Brazilian Real and between -5% to -6% for the British Pound. For on-premises software, the price adjustment will be 12% for the Brazilian Real, while there will be no adjustment for the British Pound.

It's important to note that the percentage changes for individual SKUs might vary slightly from these percentages due to pricing calculations and rounding rules.

Microsoft encourages its partners to review the December 2024 Partner Launch Calendar, monthly newsletter, and register for upcoming Community Q&A calls. These resources will provide further information and support to help partners navigate these changes.
