This upgrade is of significant importance as .NET 6 concluded its support on November 12, 2024, which implies it is no longer receiving security updates or patches. This update was rolled out on November 20, 2024, and impacts all partners running Fundraising and Engagement Azure Services.

The shift to .NET 8 brings along several advantages. Firstly, it enhances performance by offering improved runtime efficiency, which guarantees faster and more reliable service. Secondly, it increases security with its new features, providing better protection against vulnerabilities. Lastly, it future proofs our solution by staying current with the latest technology, ensuring our solution remains robust and effective.

As for the next steps, we recommend navigating to the Solution Center and updating both Fundraising and Engagement and Fundraising and Engagement Azure Services to the latest version. Once this is done, launch the Fundraising and Engagement installer and follow the instructions in Deploy or upgrade Fundraising and Engagement Azure Services.
