Microsoft has recently announced the availability of a new Revenue page for preview. This page is designed to help users understand how Microsoft commerce incentives are evaluated for eligibility of revenue or usage. Revenue refers to the monetary value of transactions or metered consumption, while usage refers to monthly active usage.
The Revenue page is part of the Payouts workspace, which will be renamed as Earnings during its general availability. The page is primarily aimed at incentives admins and incentives users who participate in Microsoft commerce incentives.
The new Revenue page comes with a host of features designed to enhance user experience. It includes UI views that allow users to see usage-based customers, enhanced search, and download capabilities. All the information available on the page is up-to-date and can be used immediately.
The page can be accessed as a deep-link in the Revenue summary page of the Payouts workspace. The capabilities of the Revenue page include understanding the eligibility of revenue or usage evaluated for incentives, gaining insights into the top 50 customers by eligible and ineligible revenue and usage, and searching and looking up info for any customer.
Users can also gain insights into customers, subscriptions, product level revenue, or usage metrics by reviewing the ineligibility reason code. This can be searched at the customer or subscription level. Additionally, users can see and download detailed reports that give details of ineligible revenue/usage.
Microsoft will be previewing the page for two weeks. During this preview phase, users are encouraged to explore the new features and provide feedback.
To help users navigate the new page, Microsoft has provided a guide on how to use the page and review reason codes currently supported in Earnings–Revenue page in Partner Center - Partner Center | Microsoft Learn.
Looking ahead, the Revenue page will permanently be part of the Earnings workspace when it's generally available in October 2023. The Payouts workspace will retire at the same time. The Earnings workspace is set to go live in the first half of October 2023 with the following pages: Revenue, Earnings, and Reports.
