Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program New Updates and Offerings for 2024

As a leading voice in the tech industry, we at Qloud Blog are excited to share the latest updates from Microsoft's AI Cloud Partner Program. This month, Microsoft has introduced several new capabilities, offers, and updates to enhance the way partners can showcase their deep technical expertise across a set of priority scenarios with high customer demand.

One of the most notable updates is the introduction of a new Solutions Partner for Training Services Partner designation. This new designation will be available based on criteria such as the number of learners trained, certifications purchased, and the quality and capability of training across Microsoft solution areas. Starting from mid-November 2023, partners enrolled in the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program will have access to their performance reports for this new designation in the Partner Center. This will enable partners to assess their performance against the criteria and start working towards earning the designation, which will be fully available in early 2024.

In addition to the new designation, Microsoft has also announced the second year of the annual review of the specialization's requirements. For those that enrolled in the specialization prior to 2023, there are some other aspects to this review that you should be aware of to plan accordingly. For Azure specializations, an audit will be required before you can renew your enrollment. For Modern Work or Security specializations, you'll be required to submit new customer references for review.

Microsoft continues to offer legacy benefits to partners who held a legacy competency on September 30, 2022. If your legacy benefits expired after October 2022 and you don't have an active benefit kit through a Solutions Partner designation, you're still eligible to renew your legacy benefits.

Furthermore, the qualification window for Solutions Partner designations has been extended. This change allows for fluctuations in your partner capability score, giving you time to adjust and visibility into your renewal status.
