At Qloud Blog, we are always keen to keep our readers updated on the latest developments in the tech world. Recently, Microsoft announced some significant updates to the Earnings, Revenue, and Reports pages on the Partner Center. These updates, rolled out on January 10, 2024, are aimed at helping partners reconcile their earnings and payments more efficiently.
The Earnings page has seen some notable changes. The Payment Summary section now includes Earning types, a feature that will be particularly beneficial for Incentives, Marketplace, and store users. Additionally, the payment filter in the Payment Summary section has been disabled for claim payments, a change that is specifically intended for Incentives users.
The Revenue page has also been updated. The Ineligible Reasons link now displays distinct ineligible reasons for usage-based engagements, in addition to the existing revenue-based engagements. This includes Quantity (MAU) and QuantityAlt (PAU). The Incentives Eligible and Ineligible section has been expanded to include more values in the Customize Columns. These additional columns will assist Modern work usage and Business applications presales partners in reconciling the eligible and ineligible usage.
Furthermore, partners can now view the balance earning opportunities for Microsoft commerce incentives engagements with an earnings max cap. This feature covers new commerce CSP related engagements, Surface, Modern work usage, and Azure quarter on quarter engagements. This new report can be downloaded from the Reports page. More information about the attributes in this report can be found in the Earnings - MaxCapBalance report in Partner Center.
Microsoft has also provided resources for partners to understand these updates better. These resources include definitions and details about Earnings in Partner Center, the Earnings - Revenue page in Partner Center, and the Earnings - MaxCapBalance report in Partner Center. Additionally, Microsoft has provided answers to some frequently asked questions on the FAQs about troubleshooting your earnings in Partner Center, FAQs about troubleshooting your payments in Partner Center, and the General incentive patterns and policies reconciliation FAQ in Partner Center.
