We are excited to announce that Microsoft has released version 1.1 of the API for Commercial Marketplace Insights reports. This new version is now live and available for use. However, it's important to note that version 1.0 will be deprecated in six months, with the end date set for June 30, 2024. We urge all users to plan their migration to version 1.1 accordingly.
This update was officially announced on January 22, 2024, and it primarily impacts our ISV partners who utilize the Insights workspace. There are several key changes coming with version 1.1 that users should be aware of.
Firstly, the recurrence count parameter is now mandatory. This means that all scheduled reports must have a recurrence count. Please note that there are certain limits based on the Recurrence Interval.
Secondly, the 1.1 version of the GET Execution API now returns new information about the recurrence count (remaining), end date, and next execution start time. This additional data will provide users with more detailed insights into their scheduled reports.
Lastly, the 1.1 version of the Scheduled Report PUT API now allows users to update the end date of their scheduled reports, in addition to the recurrence count. This added flexibility will enable users to better manage their reporting schedules.
To successfully migrate from v1 to v1.1 of the API, users are advised to update their code to use the new endpoint for version 1.1. It's also important to update any requests or responses that reference fields that are added or changed in version 1.1. We strongly recommend testing your code thoroughly to ensure that it's compatible with version 1.1 of the API. Additionally, monitoring your application to ensure that it's functioning correctly with the new version of the API is crucial.
