At Qloud Blog, we are committed to keeping our readers updated on the latest developments in the tech world. Today, we bring you news from Microsoft, who recently announced the retirement of the V1 and V2 beta versions of their new commerce daily rated usage reconciliation APIs. This change is set to impact all global CSP partners.
Microsoft has been using these APIs to retrieve billed and unbilled daily rated usage reconciliation data. However, they have decided to retire these versions and are urging users to migrate to the newest APIs that are generally available on MS Graph before the retirement date.
The APIs that are being retired include the Invoicing and Reconciliation v2 API (beta), which will stop working on June 30, 2024, and the Get Invoice Billed Commercial Consumption Line Items and Get Invoice Unbilled Commercial Consumption Line Items, both of which will stop working on September 30, 2024. After these dates, users will no longer be able to access their billing and reconciliation data through the previous versions of the APIs.
To avoid any disruption to your business, it is recommended that you migrate to the newest APIs on MS Graph before the retirement date. The newest APIs are currently available for the MS Graph public/global cloud only. They are not yet available for Azure Government, Azure Germany, or Azure China 21Vianet.
The retirement of the billed daily rated usage API v1 means that it will still be available and functional for your past billed daily rated usage line items, but it won't stop working after September 30, 2024. The billed daily rated usage API v2 beta, on the other hand, will stop working after June 30, 2024.
The unbilled daily rated usage API v1 will also stop working after September 30, 2024. The unbilled daily rated usage API v2 beta will stop working after June 30, 2024.
Migrating to the latest version of the APIs will ensure uninterrupted retrieval of billed and unbilled daily rated usage reconciliation data. The latest version is asynchronous and includes new features and enhancements to improve your experience. These include faster data retrieval, compressed payload, no need for persistent connectivity, customizable response, and convenient data access.
To get started with the new APIs on MS Graph, review the documentation and sample code to learn how to use the latest APIs. Inform your developers and request that they update your existing systems to integrate with these new APIs.
We at Qloud Blog appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we navigate these changes. We hope you find the latest asynchronous APIs on MS Graph useful and convenient for your reconciliation needs. As always, we welcome your feedback to help us improve the user experience.
