Microsoft Delays Launch of Nonprofit Promotions for New Commerce Seat-Based Offers

In a recent announcement, Microsoft has reported a delay in the launch of nonprofit promotions for the new commerce seat-based offers for the Public Sector on a month-to-month (M2M) basis. Initially scheduled to go live on March 1, 2024, at midnight UTC time, the promotions are now on hold until further notice.

This delay impacts Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partners, including Indirect Providers and Direct Bill Partners across all regions. Microsoft has assured that they are committed to honoring the new promotional terms as soon as they can. They are expected to provide updates and a new promo GA date soon.

In light of this delay, Microsoft has requested its partners to temporarily halt the sales of eligible SKUs until the promotion officially goes live. This is to ensure that the promotions are correctly applied and partners are not incorrectly charged.

It is important to note that if a product SKU is purchased before the promotions are available, the promotions will not be applied. In such cases, purchases made without the expected promotions should be canceled within a seven-day window to avoid any incorrect charges.

Microsoft has urged its partners to share this information with all relevant contacts within their organizations. Partners can also view available promotions in the Global Promo Readiness Guide collection.
