As a trusted partner in the digital ecosystem, we at Qloud Blog are committed to keeping you updated with the latest developments and updates from our partners. In this regard, we are excited to share some important updates from Microsoft that are aimed at enhancing the security posture of partners and customers alike.
Microsoft has announced that from April 1, 2024, partners will have access to the Security Workspace in Partner Center. This centralized platform is designed to help partners assess their security situation and take necessary actions to improve their security posture. The workspace is designed to simplify the user experience, provide learning resources, and serve as a one-stop-shop for all security-related matters in Partner Center.
In addition to the Security Workspace, Microsoft is also launching a new security alerts API for direct bill partners and indirect providers. Available in beta version from March 28, 2024, the Microsoft Graph Security Alerts API will help partners take essential steps to confirm and contain any compromises. This includes detections related to unauthorized party abuse and account takeovers. Partners are required to onboard the new Microsoft Graph Beta API to take advantage of these features.
Microsoft is also continuing to enable security defaults on all CSP partner tenants that haven't already enabled security defaults, conditional access, or other multifactor authentication (MFA) solutions. We strongly recommend that partners activate these security defaults immediately to enhance their security.
As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen security, Microsoft is expanding into Microsoft Entra error codes and Conditional Access Policy enforcement for all Partner Center APIs. Partners are advised to refer to the Microsoft Entra error codes documentation for more details.
To help partners navigate these changes, Microsoft has provided a range of resources. The securing the channel journey map offers a roadmap for partners to navigate the transformational journey to Zero Trust. Microsoft's cybersecurity tools and resources can help strengthen your security posture and navigate the evolving threat landscape.
Partners can also sign up for dedicated CSP Security Q&A sessions to have their queries answered by subject matter experts. Further guidance and resources for securing the partner and customer ecosystems can be found in the partner readiness gallery.
At Qloud Blog, we understand the importance of security in the digital ecosystem. We are committed to keeping our partners informed about the latest developments and updates to help them enhance their security posture and protect their customers. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements.
