As we delve into the second quarter of 2024, Microsoft continues to innovate and enhance its AI Cloud Partner Program. The tech giant has introduced a slew of new capabilities, offers, and updates aimed at helping partners further differentiate their deep technical expertise across a set of priority scenarios with high customer demand. Here's a look at what's new and what's to come.
In January, Microsoft unveiled three new benefit packages for partners: Partner Launch Benefits, Partner Success Core Benefits, and Partner Success Expanded Benefits. Each package is designed to cater to the unique needs of partners at different stages of growth. Partners can stack these benefits with their Solutions Partner designation or specialization benefits.
Microsoft has also migrated all partner program membership purchases to a new commerce platform. This unified billing experience simplifies credit card transactions for partners. To purchase or renew any AI Cloud Partner Program offering, the Global Admin is required to create or update their Microsoft billing account and profile in the Partner Center.
On March 20, 2024, Microsoft announced the general availability of Solutions Partner with certified software designations. This provides independent software vendors (ISVs) with the opportunity to become Solutions Partners within the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program. These designations help differentiate partners' software solutions in areas of high demand and enable customers to identify trusted solutions.
Microsoft has also updated the audit requirements for partners seeking to renew their infrastructure and migration specialization. This update was based on feedback from partners and includes an alternate path for eligible partners.
ISV Success is introducing the renewal of ISV Success benefits effective March 4, 2024. Eligible partners can renew another 12 months of ISV Success Build and Publish 30 days before the end of the current benefit package.
Looking ahead, Microsoft is set to launch the Solutions Partner for Training Services designation in mid-April. Qualified partners will receive designation-specific badges, distinguishing their services from other partner types within the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program.
Microsoft also announced that partners with a Solutions Partner for Support Services designation will soon receive exclusive new benefits, including paid support agreement pricing and access to a knowledge-based library of curated materials.
The Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program will soon have SMB and Enterprise paths for attaining the Solutions Partner designations for Data and AI (Azure), Digital and App Innovation (Azure), Infrastructure (Azure), and Security.
Lastly, effective July 1, 2024, the Signature Cloud Support (SCS) incidents benefit available to partners who have attained a solution area Solutions Partner designation or who have previously purchased the gold or silver legacy benefits package will be limited to 50 incidents per year.
As Microsoft continues to evolve its AI Cloud Partner Program, we encourage partners to stay informed and take advantage of these new offerings and benefits. Whether you're renewing your specialization or looking to attain a new one, these updates provide ample opportunities to grow and succeed.
