Microsoft Announces Major Pricing Update for Dynamics 365 Products Effective October 2024

Microsoft has recently announced a significant update to its commercial pricing for several Dynamics 365 SKUs. This marks the first major pricing update since October 2019, and it is set to take effect on October 1, 2024. This announcement is of particular importance to all partners transacting Dynamics 365.

The list of products affected by this pricing update includes Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise, Dynamics 365 Sales Device, Dynamics 365 Sales Premium, Microsoft Relationship Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service Enterprise, Dynamics 365 Customer Service Device, Dynamics 365 Field Service, Dynamics 365 Field Service Device, Dynamics 365 Finance, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Dynamics 365 Commerce, Dynamics 365 Human Resources, Dynamics 365 Project Operations, and Dynamics 365 Operations – Device.

The new prices, which are per user per month (or per device per month, where noted), represent an increase across the board. For instance, the price for Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise will increase from $95 to $105, while Dynamics 365 Finance will see a jump from $180 to $210. It's important to note that these prices are for informational purposes only and may not reflect the actual price due to factors such as currency, country, region, and others. The exact pricing will be available in the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Price list Preview, which will be released on September 1, 2024.

Interestingly, the pricing for Dynamics 365 Business Central will remain unchanged. However, prices for Dynamics 365 on-premises solutions will increase at the same rate as cloud pricing, respectively for on-premises Customer Engagement and Operations products.

In order to comply with local regulations, US Government list prices for the same products will increase by 10% effective October 1, 2024. This will be followed by another smaller increase effective October 1, 2025, to bring parity with the commercial pricing outlined in this article.
