Microsoft has recently announced an expansion in the availability of Copilot for Microsoft 365, extending its reach to more customers. This move is part of Microsoft's ongoing commitment to improving and expanding its services, ensuring that more users can benefit from the innovative features of Copilot for Microsoft 365.
As of June 12, 2024, Microsoft has added a range of standalone commercial plans to the existing qualifying prerequisites for Copilot for Microsoft 365. These include Microsoft 365 Apps for Business and Enterprise, Microsoft Teams Essentials, Enterprise, and EEA (European Economic Area), Exchange Kiosk, Exchange Plan 1 and 2, SharePoint Plan 1 and 2, OneDrive for Business Plan 1 and 2, Microsoft Planner Plan 1 (formerly Project Plan 1), Microsoft Project Plan 3 and 5, Project Online Essentials, Visio Plan 1 and 2, and Microsoft ClipChamp.
This expansion means that users licensed with one of these plans, in addition to Copilot for Microsoft 365, will now be able to use all the Copilot capabilities available within the apps and services included with their plan. This is a significant step forward, as it allows more users to take advantage of the powerful features and capabilities that Copilot for Microsoft 365 offers.
Microsoft has also announced that a detailed and complete list of eligible SKUs will be made available on learn.microsoft.com. This will provide users with a comprehensive guide to understanding which plans qualify for the expanded Copilot for Microsoft 365 availability.
In light of these developments, we at Qloud Blog recommend that all partners transacting Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 review the Copilot blog and Copilot for Work site. This will provide you with the most up-to-date information on these changes and how they may impact your use of Microsoft's services.
Microsoft's decision to expand the availability of Copilot for Microsoft 365 is a clear demonstration of their commitment to continually improving their services and ensuring that they are accessible to as many users as possible. We look forward to seeing how this expansion will benefit users and enhance their experience with Microsoft 365.
