Microsoft Announces Key Updates to Publisher Agreement and Maintains Stable Pricing Amid Currency Fluctuations

Microsoft has recently announced an update to its Publisher Agreement, version 8.0, which will take effect on July 31, 2024. This update is significant for publishers who utilize Microsoft's platforms and services.

One of the key changes in the updated agreement is the response to the Commercial Marketplace now supporting Professional Services Offers. This change is expected to provide a more efficient and streamlined process for publishers to offer their services to customers.

Another notable change is the clarification on how independent software vendors (ISVs) and Authorized Partners can now transact multiparty private offers (MPOs) with customers in the United Kingdom or Canada. This change is expected to broaden the scope of business opportunities for ISVs and Authorized Partners in these regions.

The updated agreement also reflects a shift from an agency model to a reseller model in India. This change is expected to provide more flexibility and opportunities for publishers in the Indian market.
