At Qloud Blog, we are thrilled to share the news about Microsoft's latest release - a refreshed user experience for managing customer subscriptions. This update, which was rolled out on July 26, 2024, is designed to enhance the experience for all global CSP partners who use the Partner Center workspace.
The new Manage subscriptions experience is a significant upgrade that introduces a suite of improvements aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing usability. One of the key features of this update is the transition to an intuitive right panel experience. This allows for a seamless side-by-side comparison of existing settings with available upgrade options, making it easier for partners to make informed decisions about their subscriptions.
In addition to this, Microsoft has also implemented performance enhancements that result in faster page loading times and a more responsive user interface. This means that partners can now navigate through the platform more efficiently, saving valuable time and resources.
Another noteworthy enhancement is the improved management of term duration and billing frequency. Microsoft has made these aspects of subscription management clearer and more user-friendly, simplifying the process for partners.
To ensure partners are fully aware of the implications of their actions, Microsoft has also introduced new cautionary prompts. These alerts are triggered upon submission of mid-term changes, warning users about potential loss of promotions if the new plan or term isn't eligible. This feature is designed to prevent any unexpected surprises and ensure partners are fully informed about their subscription changes.
These changes are now available in both sandbox and production. To view the changes, partners need to sign in to Partner Center, select Customers, choose a customer from the list, and then select Subscription name under Online services from their Subscriptions.
As part of this update, Microsoft has also updated the Partner Center documentation. We recommend all partners to review the updated documentation on managing customer subscriptions and managing term duration and billing frequency.
At Qloud Blog, we are excited about these changes and believe they will significantly improve the user experience for all global CSP partners. We look forward to sharing more updates from Microsoft in the future.
