The Partner Center has recently launched new Asynchronous APIs for billing reconciliation. This new API, which was introduced in March 2024, is now live and partners are required to migrate to it by September 30, 2024, to ensure uninterrupted service. This change is a result of partner feedback and is part of our commitment to improving the Partner Center experience.
The new Asynchronous API offers faster download times and reduces latency, especially when handling large data volumes. The four APIs affected by this change are the Get invoice line items API (V1), Invoicing and reconciliation v2 API (beta, V2), Get invoice billed commercial consumption line items (V1), and Get invoice unbilled commercial consumption line items (V1).
The migration process involves updating your code to use the new APIs, following the documentation on the Partner Center portal. It's important to note that the legacy APIs will be retired on September 30, 2024. Currently, the newest API is only available for the Microsoft Graph public/global cloud and is not yet available for Azure Government or Azure China 21Vianet.
To avoid disruption in service, partners must migrate to this new API by the given deadline. This information should be shared within your organization and we have added this to the CSP launch calendar for your convenience.
For guidance on how to migrate to the new Asynchronous API, partners can review the documentation provided. Additional resources include the Migration Guide and Documentation, understanding your bill and reconciliation data in Partner Center, and registering for upcoming CSP Technical Training and Partner Community Q&A Calls.
We encourage partners to use the readiness resources listed in this announcement. If further assistance is required or if any issues are encountered with the capability, partners are advised to open a support ticket through Partner Center.
