Microsoft has recently announced a new feature in the Partner Center Referrals workspace that allows partners to view the contact details of Microsoft sellers involved in Co-sell opportunities. This feature, which is part of the 'Help from Microsoft' section, is designed to streamline the sales process and reduce the reliance on Partner Development Managers (PDMs).
In the past, when an outbound Co-sell opportunity was received by Microsoft, it would be directed to the Co-sell Service Desk. However, partners did not have visibility into the sellers' contact details. This lack of information made it difficult for partners to initiate the sales cycle independently, leading to a dependency on PDMs for this crucial information.
The introduction of this new feature addresses this issue by providing partners with a list of Microsoft sellers involved in a given opportunity. This increased visibility allows partners to more effectively manage the sales process, reducing the need for intervention by PDMs.
In addition to this, Microsoft has announced plans for further enhancements to this feature. In the coming months, partners will receive notifications through the Action Center whenever there is a change in the opportunity owner. This will ensure that partners are kept informed and up to date with any changes, further improving the co-selling experience.
Microsoft is committed to continually improving the co-selling experience for its partners. This new feature is just one of many enhancements that Microsoft is planning to introduce in the near future. Partners are encouraged to stay tuned for more updates as Microsoft continues to innovate and enhance the co-selling experience.
