Microsoft is set to launch Office LTSC 2024, the latest version of its perpetual Office for commercial customers, on October 1, 2024. This new version is designed for devices and scenarios where the key requirement is either total disconnection from the internet or a fixed-in-time feature set. For other scenarios, Microsoft 365 suites provide a superior solution, including always-up-to-date, cloud-backed versions of the core Office apps.
Office LTSC 2024 is updated with a subset of the features that have been added to Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise since the last LTSC release. Some of the new features for this release include Dynamic Charts and more than a dozen new text and array functions in Excel, enhanced search and meeting creation options in Outlook, and improvements to performance, security, and accessibility. More information about Office LTSC 2024 can be found in the announcement on the Microsoft 365 Tech Community.
Starting from October 1, 2024, Microsoft Partners will be able to transact the following Office LTSC software via Partner Center: Access LTSC 2024, Excel LTSC 2024, Excel LTSC for Mac 2024, Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024, Office LTSC Standard 2024, Office LTSC Standard for Mac 2024, Outlook LTSC 2024, Outlook LTSC for Mac 2024, PowerPoint LTSC 2024, PowerPoint LTSC for Mac 2024, Project Professional 2024, Project Standard 2024, Visio LTSC Professional 2024, Visio LTSC Standard 2024, Word LTSC 2024, and Word LTSC for Mac 2024. Pricing details for these offers can be pulled from the software price list.
It's important to note that the Office LTSC 2021 versions of these offers will be decommissioned and no longer available for purchase after September 30, 2024.
To prepare for this launch, partners are encouraged to read the public announcement about Office LTSC 2024's availability, review the Office LTSC 2024 deployment documentation, find out what's new in Office LTSC 2024, and review the system requirements for Office LTSC 2024. This launch is expected to impact Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partners, CSP-Hosters, and Services Provider License Agreement (SPLA) partners.
