The Partner Center has launched new asynchronous APIs for billing reconciliation, which are now live and ready for use. These APIs are designed to offer faster download times and reduce latency, particularly when dealing with large volumes of data. To ensure uninterrupted service, partners are required to migrate to these improved APIs by January 21, 2025.
The introduction of these new asynchronous APIs, also known as asynchronous v2 APIs, took place in March 2024. The APIs affected by this change include the Get invoice line items API (V1), Invoicing and reconciliation v2 API (beta, V2), Get invoice billed commercial consumption line items (V1), and Get invoice unbilled commercial consumption line items (V1).
The migration process involves modifying your existing code to incorporate these new APIs, as detailed in the Partner Center documentation. It's important to note that starting from January 21, 2025, the legacy APIs will return an error message, hence the need for timely migration.
Currently, the new Microsoft Graph APIs are only available for the public/global cloud. They have not yet been made available for Azure Government, Azure Germany, or Azure China 21Vianet.
To avoid any service disruption, partners are urged to migrate to these new APIs by the set deadline of January 21, 2025. It's also recommended to share this information with the relevant roles within your organization. This information has been added to the CSP launch calendar to keep you updated.
For guidance on how to migrate to the new asynchronous daily rated usage APIs and the new asynchronous invoice reconciliation API, you can review the provided documentation.
Additional resources available include managing billing via APIs, Migration Guide and Documentation, and the opportunity to register for upcoming CSP Technical Training and Partner Community Q&A Calls to learn more.
Should you require assistance or encounter any issues with the capability, you are encouraged to open a support ticket through the Partner Center. The readiness resources listed in this announcement or in the Partner Center documentation are also available for your use.
